STAR (Special Tasks and Rescue) Group, he ran VIP security to the
Queen, high risk witness protection and underwater recovery. But
what started as another ordinary day ended with McManus being
shot 14 times in 15 seconds. What unfolded became one of
Australia’s longest police sieges.
