Integrated Climate System Sciences (ICSS): A MSc program between "indepth focus" and interdisciplinarity

The School of Integrated Climate System Sciences (SICSS) offers an
interdisciplinary two-year MSc program. The MSc ICSS is taught in
English and is open to students holding a BSc related to climate
system sciences with a solid background in mathematics and physics.
The MSc ICSS combines natural, social and economic sciences, as
well as peace and conflict research. This interdisciplinary
approach enables students to understand the processes of climate
variability and climate change and the respective consequences for
societies, including how they could response to theses processes.
Combining the fields of earth system observation, modeling and
prediction with economics and social sciences is a special approach
that is internationally unique. This approach will enable you to
develop an understanding of the past, current and future climate
variability and adaption as well as mitigation options in view of
climatic change. Prof. Dr. Hermann Held leitet den Lehrstuhl für
Nachhaltigkeit und globale Entwicklung an der Forschungsstelle für
Nachhaltige Umweltentwicklung der Universität Hamburg. Hier gibt es
