Amazon Plans to Put 1,000 Warehouses in Suburban Neighborhoods

Amazon Prime is scaling to Amazon NOW. I WANT IT NOW
PRIME! With the surge in ecommerce sales and demand Amazon is
focusing on expanding its warehouses to local hubs to offer fast
shipping and returns.


Amazon is also hiring 175K new workers to help with
same-day delivery. Amazon avoided a retail footprint and dabbled
with a couple of urban locations. This will be the nail in the
coffin on many retailers, setting the stage for an Amazon vs.
Walmart nuclear arms race.


This will be an aggressive development in the retail
industry, and we’ll have to wait and see how Target and other
retailers should be dead (Best Buy) and what they will do to stay
afloat.
