Mike Okwoche, International broadcast journalist
and the Head of Anchors at Television Continental (TVC) in
Lagos, Nigeria will discuss the state of Africa's social
transition with Dr. Kenneth Ombongi, Senior
Lecturer at the Department of History and Archaeology at the
University of Nairobi in Kenya and Bukola
Samuel-Wemimo. Dr. Ombongi's research interests have
revolved around the power dynamics of Kenyan politics;
change and continuity in colonial and post-colonial
settings; the instrumentality of the state in social change;
biomedicine and its historically inherent role as a ‘tool’
of control and domination. Bukola Samuel-Wemimo is a broadcast
journalist whose experience traverses reporting, production and
anchoring.
