When you’re truly passionate about something in your life, don’t
give up. Mixi from the band Stitched Up Heart lived by these words
in the early going of the bands career. In most cases with a band,
it’s a bit of a grind to get going. Stitched Up Heart had to pay
their dues to get to the point where they’re at today. Mixi lived
out of her car the first year of the band. Even delivered pizzas to
make a little extra money. Fast forward to the present and Stitched
Up Heart was apart of an all female lineup earlier this year
featuring Halestorm, In This Moment, and New Years Day. Touring and
new music is on the agenda moving forward.

New album in the works after the success of “Catch Me When I Fall”,
“Monster” and “Finally Free” in years past. New studios this
go-around after the congerire of items surrounding them where
“Monster” was recorded. A black cat gave birth to two albino cats
and spell books on the shelves. Friendlier and less creepy quarters
have been used to enhance the creative experience. The
superstitious type would be scared off by a black cat, not Mixi and
the rest of Stitched Up Heart. Animal lovers themselves, and do
things for animal foundations regularly.

Mixi touched on her journey of going through the process of
becoming sober. An easy thing to get wrapped up in while on tour.
She reached a point where she just didn’t want to drink anymore.
Holding strong in situations to this day. She admits it’s a hard
struggle at times. Partying with Lzzy Hale and crew, she’ll opted
for a shot of water instead. Overall, she feels that it has helped
her writing. Expect new music from Stitched Up Heart soon! Hear
Mixi on episode 60 of the DOMKcast with Lunchbox and Promo Brady.
