I have a question: How do you feel about the holiday season? Do
you feel some dread? Overwhelm or anxiousness?

Maybe you feel anxious over the pressure to be happy and joyous
as the Christmastide and well-wishes begin. Now, I also am
curious to know how you feel about celebration.

Do you wait to practice celebration as a reward or a reaction to
good news?

Do you start to cringe when you hear the platitude, “have an
attitude of gratitude?”

So let’s dive into something called Dichotomy, which I shared
more about during the Simply Wholehearted Summit this fall and
received lots of wonderful feedback saying it was so helpful to
viewers.

Remember, emotions are guideposts that can teach us about
ourselves and are a gift from the Lord to help us heal. Jesus
himself, we see in scripture, experienced a wide range of
emotions, and he never sinned! So those big emotions you feel
right now heading into the holidays? There is nothing wrong with
you for feeling that way.

It’s normal.
It’s okay.
