012 Becoming an accidental consultant with Winnie Sseruma

Winnie Sseruma has been working as an international consultant
for over two decades. She focuses on health training, community
research, programme evaluations, and technical assistance. Mostly
she supports community-based organisations responding to issues
of social justice, women in leadership, and HIV and AIDS. 


In a deeply personal and engaging conversation, Winnie describes
how she became what she calls an 'accidental consultant' and how
she spent 3 years immersed in the HIV world, from treatments to
policy to support groups and more. She describes her journey as a
steep learning curve and how learning to say no could be one of
the most important lessons for us as consultants.
