In this episode of the Fitness in Philosophy podcast, James and
Robby continue discussing the question "What is fitness?"

In particular they discuss:

-The distinction between descriptive and normative claims in
philosophy, which is mainly the distinction between what is
(descriptive claims) and what should be (normative claims)

-The question: when we ask "What is fitness?" are we merely
describing how fitness is practiced today or are we saying what
it should be?

-James' definition of what fitness should be

-How the concept of fitness compares and contrasts with other
related concepts like health, sickness, wellness, performance,
longevity and athleticism.

About the Podcast:

The Fitness in Philosophy podcast is dedicated to discussing the
intersection between concepts in philosophy and their connection
with fitness. Each episode we talk about a particular
philosophical concept like autonomy, knowledge, virtue, truth,
etc. and discuss how that idea connects with coaching fitness,
participating in fitness as an individual, and fitness culture at
large. It is hosted by James Fitzgerald and Robby Gustin.

About the Hosts:

first-ever men's CrossFit Games champion in 2007. He's one of the
