living with Alzheimer’s or a form of dementia. Psychological test
show that primary care givers, because of the constant mental and
physical strain on their person, have a much higher tendency to
develop general anxiety disorder or depression. This act of
self-sacrificial love united to the cross of Christ can have
immense redemptive value for those who embrace this opportunity
and for others who witness it. John Listi, the Director of Parish
Renewal and Evangelization for St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church
and Catholic Charismatic Renewal Ministries for the Diocese of
Lafayette, Louisiana, shares this journey and the amazing
transformation that has occurred within himself and his immediate
family in their walk with his father toward his eternal home.
