J Donald Wilson

hi guys and welcome back to the mystery comedy Old Time radio
podcast please welcome to the show this afternoon to chill our
spines. writer,producer and later on in his career novelist Mr. J
Donald Wilson. Mr Wilson started his career in the late 1930s as a
voice actor and later on went to become an old time radio producer
and writer. his best known old time radio show is called The
Whistler. he was married to his wife who was a famous actress named
Catherine. Mr Wilson and Catherine never had any children but were
married from 1953 to 1984. both passing away 6 months from each
other. even though Mr Wilson has been gone for more than 30 years
his memory and lazy will live on forever. in this afternoon show Mr
Wilson's production The Whistler comes to chill our spine. in this
first episode we find a woman who is trapped between love and
jealousy love for a man who doesn't love her back and jealousy for
the woman who took him away from her. the woman becomes so obsessed
with the man's wire that she does the unthinkable and kills her.
but the guilt is overwhelming her and her business partner. until
it all unravels right before her eyes. and the title of that
episode is called The mirage. and in this next episode we find a
man who is caught between depression and reality. a man named Henry
who is overwhelmed by his business and becomes very depressed about
it and then the depression becomes hatred towards anyone. Henry
ends up giving in to his murderous urges. and the title of that
episode is called the urge to kill. and then the final episode we
find a young woman who has a wealthy aunt and uncle that have taken
care of her goes off to college and leaves the nest. only to come
back to her aunt and uncle's home to be married. her aunt is
disgusted at her decision and tells her that if she does not end
the marriage to the man. then she will be taken out of her aunt's
will as she is the only heir to her aunt's estate. but
unfortunately for the young girl she does not know that her husband
does not want her to lose her inheritance. so he tries his hardness
to scare her aunt so that when the aunt dies she will get her
inheritance. but unfortunately for him his plan backfires on him.
and it is called The alibi. I hope you guys enjoy Mr Jay Donald
