Commitment to Self with Kate Smorty

Today's episode is with someone who I adore.


It seems fitting to me that we kick this season off with someone
who I spent a significant amout of time with in 2023.


It is with a deeply warm welcome that I introduce you to Kate
Smorty.


Kate and my dad live in the same aged care village and at 95,
Kate has been the media darling and poster "child" for our
campaign to remove their aged care provider.


This episode was recorded before we knew who would be taking over
as the new provider so we don't go into too many details.


What we do talk about is Kate's life.  


What has fascinated me about Kate and the other women that I have
had the pleasure of spending time with is, how much their lived
perhaps still parallel ours.


Which begs the question, how far have we really come?


What is the real commitment to change do we have when it comes to
women's rights


AND


The power in the commitment to self.


Kate shares a story of her life when she decided to take back her
power and commit to her own happiness.


When you hear what an incredible human she is you will realise
how we removed that pesky provider.
