My website is www.PaperbackRocker.com. You can find the podcast
archives there. Find my books of rock and roll fiction on Amazon by
searching my name, Matt Syverson. Follow me on Twitter
@PaperbackRocker. Email me at PaperbackRocker@live.com. Thanks for
listening! The show notes are as follows: My new Paperback Rocker
app is available on Amazon. It has all my shows and extra bonus
stuff, including the OPM Den Sessions. The bonus content for this
episode will be a Queen concert from 1974. It is the day after
Mother's Day, and I talk about my mother, including the book she's
writing about living in Greece. I sold books on Saturday in Goliad,
Texas, in the shade of the Hanging Tree. I talk about the bootlegs
I used to buy for thirty bucks each in Seattle. The impetus for
this episode is a post I put on Facebook about two things men love
and women hate. Do you agree? I talk about John Lennon's primal
screaming, his lost weekend with Harry Nilsson, and the screaming
contest the two had that blew out one of their throats forever. I
talk about the chart that came out ranking the relative literacy of
rappers and how Jethro Tull would be far to the right of all those
guys. Is Jethro Tull really breaking up? I tell you a foolproof
method for winning concert tickets on the radio. I almost won a
wine tasting with Ian Anderson, but I thought the question was a
trick. I knew where Freddie Mercury was born, though, so I
impressed the deejay. I hope you enjoy this episode and thanks for
listening!
