Dean Ashenden’s book Telling Tennant’s Story: The Strange
Career of the Great Australian Silence combines memoir,
history and journalism and has been awarded the inaugural
Australian Political Book of the Year. Ashenden is joined by
Peter Sutton for a conversation about “the sorry story of White
Australia’s repeated assaults – and clumsy interventions – on
Indigenous Australia since the arrival of the First Fleet".
