Lunchtime Conversation with Egyptian Comics Artist Deena Mohamed

Rosie Lavan (School of English TCD) and comics artist Deena Mohamed
organised by the Trinity Centre for Resistance Studies in
partnership with the Trinity Long Room Hub. Deena Mohamed is an
Egyptian comics artist, writer and designer. She began her career
with the satirical webcomic 'Qahera', about a visibly Muslim
Egyptian superheroine who combats misogyny and Islamophobia. Her
research into the history of Egyptian comics inspired her to create
her award-winning debut graphic novel Shubeik Lubeik, which she
translated into English as 'Your Wish is My Command' (2023). Learn
