About the Artist: Pink Supakarn Niruktisart
Pink is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice
crosses painting, mixed-media, performance art, dance and visual
design. Pink grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and moved to New York in
2017 to pursue a master's degree in Arts and Cultural Management at
Pratt Institute.
After being diagnosed with severe depression, she started Void
People, an art initiative that promotes conversation about mental
health and rebrand depression. Through this project, Pink
designed and sold merchandise that benefits organizations like the
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Johns Hopkins Center
for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research.
Her art has exhibited at venues like One Art Space Gallery, The
VNYL, and Jump Into the Light, and they have featured in Art With
Impact’s monthly Mental Health Short Film.
Pink is currently experimenting with combining her art with
technology like VR, AR, and 3D Printing to support her mission of
rebranding depression one step at a time.
