HDA 002: How to Finish Your Basement

#002: In this episode we discuss the  methods I use to
finish a basement. Water and humidity are the typical problems
with basements in the Northeast. I want everyone to be very
mindful that using standard (above-grade) construction methods in
a basement has a high potential for mold to grow.



You also need to be very careful with what materials come into
contact with a concrete foundation wall as water can wick through
the wall and allowing that moisture to provide the conditions for
mold to grow.
