Jane Kostina - Phenotype Specialist at a large Berry Farm

Jane works in the commercial fruit industry, helping her company
to identify desirable qualities in strawberry plants, and then
breed them so they can be grown successfully in large quantities.
 She explains that her company uses selective breeding, not
genetic modification, to achieve the results they are seeking,
and Jane explains why flavor is not necessarily always the
most-desirable trait that her team looks for.  Things get a
little nerdy, but Jane helps explain it so we can all understand
her tremendously interesting job.
