During these difficult times, Igor Golovach & Alessandro
Scalora decided to take the time to unite people from all over the
world of the beauty DanceSport industry. Instructors,
choreographers, and dancers alike joined us to share their thoughts
on staying strong and positive during this worldwide epidemic,
sharing their advice on fighting on and not losing hope, sending
their messages of support and aspiration. Thus, the project of
"Stay United" was formed. This video features Kristers Šmits!
Kristers Šmits trains in the USA and competes nationally and
internationally in the WDC as well as the WDSF. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
USA National Youth Champion in Latin, Standard & 10 Dance –
2019. USA National Amateur Smooth Champion – 2019 World Amateur
Smooth Champion- 2020 Making the Final of the WDSF Youth 10 Dance
World Championships Being selected to represent the USA in Latin,
Standard & 10 Dance World Championships since 2017.
ACHIEVEMENTS: 1st in WDSF Amateur Open Youth Latin in
Slovak Open Championship 2019 Champions of Youth Standard at
Ohio Star Ball 2018 Amateur Smooth World Champion - 2020
Champions of Youth Latin at Ohio Star Ball 2017
Champions of "Best of the Best" show-dance at Ohio Star Ball
2018 Semi-Finalists of WDSF Open Youth Standard in Prague
Open Championship - 2019 2nd in Youth NDCA USA Nationals in

Nationals 2019 Top 14 in Youth Latin WDSF World Championship
in Riga, Latvia - 2018 Finalists of WDSF 10 Dance World
Championships in Guadalajara, Spain - 2018 Kristers Smits was born
in Riga, Latvia and is 19 years old. He's been dancing since the
ripe age of four. While in Latvia, Kristers was nine-time National
Latvian champion in Pre-Teen I & II, Latin & Standard. In
2012, he moved to New York, where he's lived for the past few
years. During this time dancing in the USA, Kristers has achieved
many successful results including the US National Junior I & II
World Championship Semi-Finalist.
