native. After honing his writing through poetry Mario Ariza
switched lanes into journalism. He has since written a book
(Disposable City: Miami's Future on the Shores of Climate
Catastrophe) and has gone on to work at one of South Florida's
most distinguished publications, The Sun Sentinel. We go into
