We return to the first half of the 20th century and our saga of
an unsung boxing hero. After winning the respect of the world but
not the championship, Jersey Joe Walcott and the longest reigning
world heavyweight king, Joe Louis, know they must face one
another again. 

Meanwhile a new devastating force rises through the weight
divisions. We chart the rise of Ezzard Charles, "The Cincinnati
Cobra", considered by many to be the greatest light heavyweight
of all time and reluctant new contender for boxing's most
prestigious crown. 

Sub-plots include the boxing style of Archie "The Mongoose"
Moore, the courage of Freddie Mills, "Murderers' Row" and Gus
Lesnevich.
