In this fifth episode, Adam Robert Lewis continues his
conversation with Philip Griffiths. In Part 1 we discussed
Philip’s journey through his training and his early career within
Opera.

We pick up with Philip’s first professional job outside of Opera
with Barry Stacey's Pantomime, a stark contrast from his days at
Glynebourne, however Philip’s tenacity and perseverance shows his
ambition to spur himself into a new direction within the
Arts.

Philip has gone on to perform in some of the West End's most
iconic musicals. Evita, Chess & Phantom of the Opera. Philip
joined Phantom in 1990 and is still appearing in the musical to
this day.

It's hard to think of the show without his presence in it and he
openly talks about what it takes to maintain a contract for over
33 years. We discuss his journey through musicals and Philip
gives his top tips for anyone looking to pursue a career in
musical theatre!
