a cash-only industry brings unique challenges. Federal prohibition
of cannabis prevents businesses from: banking, buying insurance,
and offering employee pension plans.. There is some allowance to
permit state banking regulation for cannabis businesses, however.
The rules are burdensome and strict, therefore, banks grapple with
imposing disincentives. The ultimate result – this leaves
businesses with cash on-hand; making paying bills and renting
difficult. How do does a business manage an all cash
existence?
