Legalization Now and the Future in Various States

Morgan Fox is the Media Relations Director for the National
Cannabis Industry Association. He weighs in on the ballot
initiatives across the country and the recent vote to legalize
cannabis in five more states. Arizona, Montana, New Jersey, South
Dakota and Mississippi passed adult usage. These initiatives passed
by clear margins. Approval in New Jersey may put pressure on nearby
states to legalize to avoid loosing potential revenue to people
traveling to New Jersey to purchase. Nearby states include New
York, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Mr. Fox also weighs on how
House & Senate elections results might influence further
legalization, once those election count determine which party is in
control. Still, the forecast is that more states will complete
ballot initiatives for cannabis in upcoming elections.
