#149 – Shin Godzilla

It was Brett's turn to choose our "Around the World"
Movie-Go-Round film, and he chose 2016's Shin Godzilla (a.k.a.
Godzilla Resurgence). For a movie with a strong comedic bent in
the first act, we dig surprisingly deep into cultural fears,
Japanese-U.S. relations, and origin conspiracy theories. Come
listen as David dotes on Kamata-kun, Nicole tries to describe
Godzilla's roar using her junior-high-level music vocabulary, and
we all give respect to the Nerd Task Force.


Next up will be our 150th regular episode, a "You Did This to Us"
entry, and we will be watching the second movie in the Twilight
