structure near the river and the windows are crossed with iron
bars and the landlord never asks you for a penny in rent. If you
are an extra-special customer they even give you a private suite
in a secluded part of the building that leads directly to a room
with a heavy chair. That room is reserved for the guys who find
out that they can’t get away with murder. . . ”
