Ben Okri (2018 Event)

Which came first, the image or the word? It’s hard to tell in The
Magic Lamp, Ben Okri’s collaboration with painter Rosemary
Clunie. Subtitled Dreams of Our Age, it’s a collection of
twenty-five enchanting, haunting stories, each accompanied by a
dreamlike painting. In this illustrated book, the Man Booker
Prize-winner draws once again on the lineage of Arabian Nights
and African mythology. This event was recorded live at the 2018
Edinburgh International Book Festival.
