With You, in this conversation with Eleanor Updale recorded live
at the 2018 Edinburgh International Book Festival. The story of a
50-something gay Londoner undergoing radiation therapy,
remembering his eccentric 1970s childhood in Weston-super-Mare
and a life-changing recital by a glamorous cellist is described
by Gale as ‘a comedy of resilience and survival’.
