Children of the Revolution – How a Buddhist Monk, a Freedom
Fighter, and a Chartered Accountant Brought Education and Hope to
Thousands of Burma’s Poorest Orphans with Feroze Dada
Feroze Dada was a Chartered Accountant living in London when a
chance meeting with a freedom fighter and a Buddhist monk in
Myanmar transformed the lives of hundreds of orphaned and abandoned
children being looked after in a remote monastery on the shores of
Lake Inle in Burma.
This week, Feroze Dada joins Sandie to share the astonishing true
tale of how the courage and tenacity of a small group of
individuals from different religions and backgrounds helped a
passionately caring, visionary Buddhist monk bring education and
hope to thousands of Burma’s poorest orphans and children.
Feroze Dada’s book Children of the Revolution, is also a story of
the author’s own journey: as a Muslim absorbing Buddhist philosophy
and in so doing building a bridge towards peace which offers a
transformative vision about how to live a meaningful life.
About the Guest: Feroze Dada
Feroze Dada was born in Karachi. He has lived and worked for most
of his life in London. He has been a qualified chartered accountant
and chartered tax advisor. He was the senior partner of his private

interviewer with TVapex, a community TV channel where he has
interviewed everyone from a Buddhist monk to the legendary Andrea
Bocelli on the subject of humanity. His book, Children of the
Revolution, has won the rare honor of having a foreword written by
the Dalai Lama.
