face, we show to the world. The second face, we show to our close
friends and our family. And the third face, we don’t show to
anyone… can you guess which one is the truest reflection of who we
are?
We’re all adept at masking the aspects of our selves we don’t want
others to discover… the over-thinking, second-guessing,
doubt-ridden, self-criticizing parts that constrain our behavior,
sap our confidence, and prevent us from being, expressing, and
knowing the fullness of who we really are. But this week’s guest is
out to change that…
Peter Coyote is a man of many talents and many passions. An
award-winning actor, director, screenwriter, singer, songwriter,
and Emmy-winning narrator who’s worked with some of the world’s
most distinguished filmmakers, he’s also a Buddhist priest and
author of several books, including two highly acclaimed memoirs. In
his latest book the The Lone Ranger and Tonto Meet Buddha Peter
Coyote brings his love of acting and his spiritual work together in
a unique work that cleverly marries masks, meditation, and acting
exercises to help us get out of our way, unmask our true selves and
liberate us from our fixed ideas of who we think we are.
