Vengeance or Forgiveness: How Context, Culture, and Cohort Influence Our Responses

Our social surroundings dramatically influence our paradigms.
From our early childhood experiences to our educational systems
to our social relationships, our brains are shaped to make
automatic decisions on the paradigms we've adopted over the
course of our lives. Will we seek vengeance or forgiveness? Will
we seek division or unity? These responses, these actions, stem
largely from beliefs we have absorbed from the context, culture,
and cohort in which we are immersed. Our beliefs determine our
behavior; thus, if we want to act wisely into those decisions, we
need to become intentional about our strategic communication,
