In 605 BC, an Old Testament warrior experienced some intense
trauma. Over the span of his life, he was captured, relocated,
renamed, indoctrinated, and threatened with violent death. He
could have been bitter about his captivity, angry about his
sentence, livid about his separation from home, but instead, he
determined to live a life set apart--even in the midst of total
cultural indoctrination. As a result, those around him had the
courage they needed to stand firm on the battle lines. Not only
did God meet them in the fiery furnace, but they escaped the heat
without compromise in their heart of the smell of smoke on their
bodies. The same can be true for us. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne as we
explore the neural and sociological pathways that lead us bravely
through the darkened hallways of trauma and on to truth, courage,
and consecration.
