MA RAINEY, the Mother of the Blues, has been credited for coining
the term "The Blues", the genre that Rock and Roll is based on.
She was among the first women to ever record music, and some
scholars even point to her style as having an influence on Hip
Hop.

Ma is also the subject of an award-winning 2020 film starring
Viola Davis and Chadwick Bozeman in his final role. But before it
