A fun talk with Bill Ranford! Stories about his Stanley Cup runs
and the challenges they had to overcome. He also shared some
great stories about his role on the movie Miracle, about the 1980
US Gold medal team.

Bill Ranford enjoyed a very successful 14-year National Hockey
League career, playing in Boston, Edmonton, Washington, Tampa Bay
and Detroit.  He won the Stanley Cup with the Edmonton
Oilers in 1988 and 1990.  Bill took home the Conn Smythe
Trophy as the playoffs most valuable player in 1990.  He
also had great success representing Canada in international
hockey too, winning the 1991 Canada Cup and the 1994 World
Championships.  Prior to his time in the NHL, Bill played in
the Western Hockey League with the New Westminster Bruins.


Bill retired from playing in 2000 and has been the Los Angeles
Kings goaltending coach since 2006.  Bill has an
entrepreneurial spirit, he’s been involved in the ownership of
Mr. Mike’s Restaurants for many years.  He was also part of
the very successful Sylvan Lake Goaltenders School.
