Frank Kovacs grew up in Regina and was able to play for his
hometown Regina Pats for five years. He was drafted by the
Minnesota North Stars in 1990. Frank went on to a
professional hockey career that saw him play in the American
Hockey League, International Hockey League, and
East Coast Hockey League while in North America. He also played
in Germany, Britain, and Hungary.
After he retired from hockey, Frank became a member of the Regina
Police Service where he serves to this day.
