KGS16: Leaders and Personal Development with Kingsley Grant

Personal Development, what is it? Is it really necessary for
leaders to concern themselves with it? Does it make a difference
whether they do or not?


It all depends on who you ask. If you ask someone who is mediocre
and simply average in their leadership position, you'll more than
likely hear "it is not necessary. It's just one more way for
someone trying to get you to spend money on some stupid program.
I've been leading forever, and look at me."


Yes, look at them. See the results they are having. What kind of
people do they have around them ... the elites or those who are
as average as them.


Next, look at the overall productivity level of the organization.


I could go on. Suffice it to say, I would suggest seeking out the
opinion of another leader; one who is crushing it and whose
people cannot say enough good things about them. Listen to them.
