+++ STORIES SELL +++
It's amazing how we are more apt to remember stories than we do
facts.
I'm able to remember a place, person, or event more if I have an
associated story attached.
However, if you were to tell me facts and expect me to remember
as I do stories, forget it. It ain't happening.
This is why someone coined this phrase: Facts tell.
Stories sell. Oh, how true this is.
Why is it then that leaders don't use more stories in
communicating with their people?
I believe one of the reasons is vulnerability. It does take some
vulnerability to tell stories especially those that are more
personal in nature.
In today's episode of The Kingsley Grant Show, you'll
hear our guest - Jared Buckley - tell a very moving story of his
daughter and how it shifted his leadership mindset. He also helps
us understand how to be more vulnerable and how to do so even
under stress. Take a listen.
