Nast Traveler China, one of the most recognized international
travel publications, reaching passionate travelers and readers
all over the country. Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge in
public relations, marketing and branding. He moved from Malaysia
to China in 2012 and is based in Beijing. Shawn was involved with
the launch of Conde Nast Traveler China’s edition and is now
responsible for the editorial team. In our conversation, I will
speak to Shawn about his early days at Conde Nast Traveler China,
challenges and opportunities during the pandemic, the interests
of Conde Nast Traveler’s China travel club members’ and new
