ITF Read: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1962 novel) part one

Ken Kesey is an author with a far-reaching legacy, but it all
began with the publication and immediate success of ONE FLEW OVER
THE CUCKOO’S NEST. In episode 136, Luke & James take a
psychedelic trip on a school bus across time as they explore Ken
Kesey’s effect on the counterculture movement of the 1960s in
America before discussing the first half of his debut novel.


Topics include: Electric Shock Therapy in pop culture, the
dangers of tying personal freedom to masculinity, the “Merry
Pranksters,” "Further," Dean Cassadey, Acid Tests, project
MKUltra, psychedelic mind expansion, writing what you know,
