William Gibson is considered a founding father of the cyberpunk
genre, but does he deserve the reputation? In episode 221, Luke
& James read one of Gibson’s earliest stories set in the
world of his “Sprawl” trilogy, then watch the adaptation directed

wielding Dolph Lundgren, Keanu Reeves’s extensive cyberpunk
résumé, and a cyberspace dolphin sequence to remember. They
finish by casting their vote on which was better: the short story
