In this episode of Feedstuffs Precision Pork, Dave Bauer, senior
market analyst for Provimi, offers some hog market perspective
and market highlights for the week as well as provides things to
think about in the week ahead.

While African swine fever has been in the wild boar population in
Germany since 2020, this week it was identified in a domestic
herd for the first time. The organic-based operation does allow
its sows to go outdoors.

In terms of weekly pork sales, Bauer said they were a bit of a
disappointment this week. Is there a recovery ahead? Take a
listen for his best guess.
These are uncertain times, and it will pay dividends to be
well-prepared. If you have questions on this week’s recap or want
to discuss something not covered, feel free to ASK DAVE at
