Podcasting is growing fast, according to LiveXLive CEO Robert
Ellin. Speaking on Fox Business alongside Adam Carolla, the
PodcastOne owner reckons the future for podcasting is in video
and told Stuart Varney that podcasting “will be $5-10bn in the
next 5-7 years”.


Spotify has announced that Spotify Podcast Ads, using
Streaming Ad Insertion, is now available in the UK and in
Germany. BT Sport, a UK television channel, was the first to use
it: advertising in the Joe Rogan Experience; while LinkedIn and
MediaCom were first to use it in Germany. Unlike normal podcast
ads, Streaming Ad Insertion lets advertisers know how many of
their ads were heard, and by who.


Spotify’s consumer podcast host, Anchor, has had a redesign.
A new 'wave’ logo, a new typeface (Maax), and a new direction in
photography: “less about podcasting, more about
podcasters”. 


Anna Sian, Head of Marketing at Anchor, will be on the
Podland in early February.


Jordan Harbinger is spending almost $40,000 every month on
host-read ads for his podcast, according to Sounds Profitable,
