Happy Wine Wednesday! We are delighted to return this week to
discuss NBC's Grand Crew. It's a no brainer that a podcast where
we drink wine and talk about pop culture would cover this amazing
show focused on a group of friends who also appreciate the joys
of bonding over a good glass of wine.  Special guest Candi
returns this week to discuss why you should absolutely be
watching Grand Crew and why NBC needs to renew this show for
several more seasons.

During the main discussion, we talk about the first two episodes
of the show.  Heads up, we understand that everyone is
probably experiencing  a lot slap discourse
 fatigue.  The topic organically came up in our
discussion about the Grand Crew pilot, which opens up with a
discussion about Black men having the space to be layered and
complicated.  Following that, we talk about everything we
liked and didn't like about the first two episodes of Grand
Crew.  Spoiler alert - the only thing we didn't like was
NBC's failure to properly promote this terrific show.

As always, we get into the Qs that need some As.  We share
the moment from the first two episode in which we truly felt seen
by the Grand Crew writers.  We also celebrate the ensemble
cast and the fun personalities reflected in all of the
characters.  Of course we had to share which character we
related to most.  We talk about what separates Grand Crew
from other friendship comedies, as well as how the writers have
woven contemporary topics into the show without coming off as a
regurgitation of Twitter threads.

Regular listeners know that we drink, we know things, we use
adult language and we get THIRSTY! The main discussion closes out
with the members of the Grand Crew ensemble with whom we'd like
to get wine drunk.

For those of you who were wise enough to watch the entire first
season of Grand Crew, we have a fun spoiler segment where we talk
about the rest of the season.
