For this week's episode I am joined by Shari N. Warner. Shari is
a licensed attorney, marriage and family therapist, and speaker.
She's the owner of Serendipity Counselling and Consulting LLC. We
discussed how to navigate times of transition. With transition
and lifestyle changes can come a push out of our comfort zone and
feelings of fear and anxiety. Shari shares the importance of
being open to new perspectives, the power of getting to know
yourself, and the role of confidence in navigating new
pathways.

Guest Bio

Shari N. Warner, JD, LMFT, a Florida licensed attorney,
marriage and family therapist and speaker, is the owner of
Serendipity Counseling and Consulting, LLC, a private
mental health practice in Tamarac, Florida.  Shari’s
practice focuses on women’s mental, emotional, and behavioral
health, assisting clients in addressing past issues that have
kept them stuck in negative and harmful behaviors and/or
relationships.  Shari’s passion for “helping women achieve
their best selves” led to the creation of Serendipity,
where she hopes that every woman who walks through the door finds
unexpected strength, goodness, and hope in themselves.

Shari also recognizes that there are many women in the community
without the financial ability or resource to obtain therapy and
so she founded the Serendipity Women’s Mental Wellness
Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization which will
provide therapy services to adult women.

Shari is also the founder of CaribbeanTherapists.com, an
online directory aimed at connecting members of the Caribbean
community with mental health practitioners of Caribbean heritage.
Working with a therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist who
understands and is better able to address their unique cultural
needs, ultimately benefits the mental health and wellness of our
Caribbean clients.  “I understand that there is still a
stigma against mental illness in the Caribbean community but
having access to Caribbean clinicians makes the process less
overwhelming for our people.” www.caribbeantherapists.com

When she is not busy managing her various projects, Shari enjoys
spending quality time with her hubby or connecting with the women
in her sister circle.
