This is the story of a brilliant mechanical engineer in his 20s
named Max Olson who had a crazy idea of how to revolutionize
container transportation on the ocean. Contrary to what everybody
else in the industry is doing - building larger and larger
container vessels for economies of scale - Max set out to design
small, hydrofoiling, remote-controlled speed boats that could carry
3 standard size ocean containers from China to the US West coast in
less than 5 days. Instead of the normal 15 days of transit time.
