Episode #17 - "Trans Talk" with Erica Gabriel

As mentioned during my very first episode, my podcast is all about
shedding light and providing a platform for the topics and issues
that need to be discussed. Trans issues are at the forefront of the
current fight for equality, fairness and justice within the LGBTQ+
movement. Therefore, I found it fitting to have an honest,
informative and empathetic conversation on the experience of being
a trans person in 2021. I am joined by my amiga, Ms. Erica Gabriel,
as my co-pilot for this very moving and enlightening conversation
where she opens about her life experience and story of being a
proud and out, trans woman of color. From her small town roots
growing up in Texas, to her self discovery as being trans, her
family life, misconceptions on the trans community and the
importance of self-confidence and visibility in order to own your
true identity, Erica shares what it's like to walk in her fabulous,
high-heeled shows as the confident woman she is today. We also have
a little fun and talk about love, dating, politics, her personal
heroes and even Caitlyn Jenner. I hope this brutally honest (and
