Red Rover, Will Anyone come over? A sexual assault survivor’s
point of view. CONTENT WARNING One in 5 women experience
sexual assault. Every 68 seconds an American is being
raped. Approximately 70% of rape or sexual assault victims
experience moderate to severe distress, a larger percentage than
for any other violent crime. How do we recover from this
trauma? Trauma that bleeds into all aspects of our
lives. Our song, Red Rover reveals a woman’s painful life long
journey of coming terms with the shame, guilt and body
disassociation she feels as a result of being raped. “Six
months for you? A Life sentence for me.” In honor of
sexual assault awareness month, we interview co-founder Of Paige
Denim, Paige Geller Adam’s, about how she has processed the trauma
of being raped and began her healing journey from surviving to
