Honens @ Home: Nicolas Namoradze performs Beethoven

For the month of February, we are dedicating Honens @ Home to
2018 Honens Prize Laureate Nicolas Namoradze! As you'll hear from
Artistic Director Jon Kimura Parker, despite the challenging
times, Nicolas has had a flurry of recent success that we
are excited to share with you. 


In today's excerpt, enjoy the third movement of Beethoven's
Quintet for piano and winds in E-flat Major Op. 16 with the
Azahar Ensemble, recorded live at the 2018 Honens International
Piano Competition in Calgary. Said to be modelled after Mozart's
Quintet K. 452, the piece showcases Beethoven's composing and
pianistic prowess ... and Nicolas Namoradze's skill as a chamber
musician!
