TNT ESQ: Episode 33 with Bill Mathias Jr - COGNITIVE DIVERSITY AND COLLABORATION

Our guest today is Bill Mathias Jr! 


A fellow Humans First Club member, a dad, a husband, a
proliferator of thought, a superb collaborator, a seeker, and for
work…he’s a Partnership Manager for Online Learning Consortium.


Usually our topics spring from the individuals backstory of what
they are passionately obsessed with. This one, is a bit
different.





March 12th, at 11am Eastern Standard Time, Bill and I (Teresa)
connected 1 to 1 via zoom strictly for the purpose of getting to
know each other outside our humans first Friday calls and
LinkedIn post engagements. 


Within 30 minutes Bill shared a workplace model that he was
working on. 


It struck me as interesting; sparked my curiosity; got me jazzed
up at it’s possibilities. So I added an idea. And he responded
with openness and added another idea. And what he added shook my
creativity juices and I added another and soon the pace got FAST
and the ideas FURIOUS.


1+1 didn’t equal 2. We were at 1000!


Collaboration. What is it? How is it done? Who does it well and
why? What are the barriers in it’s way? How can anyone who is in
an environment where collaboration is part of the way work is
completed, be better?
