CNC Router Tips Podcast Episode 44
Build Your Own Makerspace with Mike Heidrick.

In the episode we talk with Mike Heidrick about why you should
build your own makerspace. After trying unsuccessfully to work with
local government to bring a makerspace to his community, Mike
Heidrick decided to build his own makerspace. Aptly named the
Mikeyspace, Mike built a 40’X64’X16’ polebarn with a 10’X24’ porch
- two 14’X14’ overhead doors, 3 pedestrian doors, and 4 36”X48”
double hung windows, and 5" thick concrete floor with radiant heat.
The project has taken nearly 3 years to complete but features a
full CNC machine shop, CNC woodworking shop, welding equipment and
a drive in theater. And this is just the start.
