Kate Stables, a Paris resident for sixteen years, is perhaps
better known fronting her band thisisthekit. About 12 years ago
she also started doing children's music and stories at
Shakespeare and Company on the occasional Wednesday
afternoon. 


This Is The Kit is the musical project of Paris-based, British
musician Kate Stables along with Rozi Plain (bass/vocals), Neil
Smith (guitar), Jesse D Vernon (guitar/keyboards) and Jamie
Whitby-Coles (drum/vox). Listen as Kate rips forward with her
hypnotic twang pattern and a voice of rare, unaffected beauty.


The band’s fifth album Off Off On (2020), following the
critically acclaimed Moonshine Freeze (2017), sees Kate Stables
working with producer Josh Kaufman – New York-based musician,
Hold Steady collaborator and member of Bonny Light Horseman and
Muzz.
